In the footsteps of Art Deco

The Carnegie Library

Shortly after the First World War, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace decided to gift the City of Reims with a new library to replace the one that was destroyed in the conflict. Its construction was entrusted to architect Max Sainsaulieu (1928), who was surrounded by major names in decorative arts.
