In the footsteps of Art Deco

Caisse d'épargne bank

First built in 1887, the burnt-out interior was completely rebuilt from 1923 to 1927 by architect François Maille, who fashioned an original dome of glass blocks that throw light onto the counters. Once riddled with shrapnel, the façade was restored and shows the countless repairs visible in the stone.
